It’s February 21 and the No Contact Order for Four Mile Creek, a small body that passes through Muskegon Community College campus, has been lifted. The Department of Public Health – Muskegon County issued the order on January 28. An estimated 20,000 gallons of raw sewage leaked into the creek.
During the No Contact Order signs were placed along the creek warning of the presence of raw sewage. Confused college students were grateful the signs also bore the much better understood, no trespassing. Apparently the warning of raw sewage was insufficient for the best and brightest of Michigan’s Gold Coast.
