MALIBU, CA – Following the expiration of his contract with Hanna Barbera in June of 1980, the world’s first superhero took his contract buyout money and bought a house on the beach in Malibu. Unburdened of the rigors of a hectic production schedule for the show, Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels, Cavey kicked back, relaxed, and pursued his dreams; doing as little as humanly possible.
Cavey studied up and got several recreational certifications and earned liquor money teaching others how to have fun. If you want to learn how to scuba dive or kite board look him up. He’s usually at The Riptide, a bar on the Malibu pier. Buy him a shot of tequila or two and he’ll be glad to share some stories from his TV days or discuss a great dive site he’s recently uncovered.
…and that’s where Captain Caveman is now.

When he’s had enough of listening to people complain, you can find him underwater scuba diving where he can’t hear you. It’s like space. No one can hear you, but not because of a vacuum. No. It’s because you can’t talk. So it’s like space, but without the radiation and deadly aliens that burst out of your chest.
